I know it's not my regular day to post but this is kind of a fun and easy recipe that my sister-in-law made last night...
Use frozen Rhodes Loaves. Set them out and let them thaw and rise. Roll them out with a rolling pin as flat as they will go. Along each side lengthwise, cut about 1 inch slits. Spread marinara sauce and add cheese, pepperoni, (or whatever pizza toppings you like! I was also thinking this might be good as a Chicken Alfredo or BBQ Chicken Calzone...I'll have to try it.). Then tuck in the top and bottom and pull and cross each slit over one by one until it is all enclosed. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
I wish I would have taken a picture of it because the first time she explained it to me I didn't quite get how to cross over the slits and I wasn't sure what it was supposed to look like. If anyone is interested in this let me know and the next time I make them I will make sure to take a picture.

I am kind of a spaz, I need a picture! Thanks!
Alright...I don't know how long it will be before I make them again! And unfortunately Dan took the leftovers to work today so I don't even have any left that I could get a picture of. But I searched for calzones in Google images and most of them look like they are just folded in half. You could just put the ingredients on one half and then fold the other side over the top and crease the edges together! The only way I can explain it is it looks like it's weaved. You take one slit on one side and pull it up and over and then do one from the other side up and over. So it's weaved back and forth...make any more sense?
When I have made calzones before I just fold them over as best I can. But this way sounds interesting.
Yeah I'm not completely sure why she does them this way. Just to make them look pretty I guess. It's kind of fun though!
